Black pepper (Piper nigrum), the world’s most traded spice is known as “The King of Spices”.    It is native to India but is grown in many parts of the tropical and semi-tropical parts of the world.

Traditionally, black pepper has been used medicinally and for its flavor in preparing food and in teas.  The black pepper we offer is from Indonesia where it is known for its high quality and pungency.
